For Year 12 students, our Internship vacancies for summer 2023 are a fantastic way to gain work experience that employers and universities are seeking on applicant CV’s and in interviews. Substantial work experience is a huge asset to students that make their applications stand out from others. Our Interns get to experience what working in a corporate environment is like and are fast-tracked through the Apprenticeship application process (for a role of their choice) if successful, for once they finish their studies.
For Year 13 students- Apprentices are able to complete prestigious qualifications such as Accountancy, Financial Adviser exams, Actuarial Technician, Business Administration, a number of Risk specific qualifications, to become qualified professionals in an area that they apply for. These qualifications are funded by SJP and so Apprentices do not acquire any student debt. The apprenticeship programme Is also a brilliant entry route into competitive professions and business areas such as Investments, Risk, Actuarial, Finance and Business Development & Advice. Our Apprenticeship programme at SJP is a brilliant way to kick start your career once you have completed your A-levels/BTEC triple award or equivalent. Candidates must hold GCSE Maths and English at a C/5 grade. We have a huge variety of opportunities around the business including Risk, Investments, Private Clients, Property, Finance and more.
You are able to study whilst you working, completing a level 3+ qualification, with opportunities to further study once completed the programme. Apprentices are paid £18,155 and are hired on a permanent contract.

Internships
Our Sixth Form Internships are a great insight into what it may be like to work as an Apprentice in the financial services industry. The internship is a 4-week paid opportunity in either our Partner Lending team or in our Business Development & Advice team. This internship will provide you with invaluable work experience that will set you up for your future career, and is also a pathway into our Apprenticeship programme. Successful interns will fast track the application process for an apprenticeship role of their choice (of those available).
Applicants must be in their penultimate year of Sixth Form/College, and will have a desire to pursue an Apprenticeship with us.
