Level 7 Solicitor Apprentice £18,600 plus benefits (Grade G11) Almondsbury, Bristol Apprenticeship duration: 5.5 years

Co-op Legal Services are looking for motivated people with an ambition of building a career in a consumer focussed legal business to join them on our level 7 solicitor apprenticeship in partnership with the University of Law.

This is an incredible opportunity for you to become a qualified solicitor and gain your degree, while earning a wage in a permanent full-time role, developing practical skills and knowledge on the job, and gaining valuable exposure and experience to a range of legal work in a very competitive industry.

What you’ll do

• join the team in a full time, permanent role as an apprentice solicitor • dedicate one day / 20% of your time per week to your learning, study and tutorials • link in with your personal skills coach throughout the duration of the programme, meeting every 8-10 weeks • manage your time between learning and work duties • handle a variety of end to end cases with guidance from your senior colleagues / mentor • carry out research, providing advice and delivering excellent client care while focusing on case progression and delivering closure targets alongside your personal development • complete your apprenticeship over the course of 5 and a half years, qualifying as a solicitor at the end of the programme


This role would suit people who have

• achieved 3 A-levels in any subject at grade A* - C (or equivalent) • achieved 5 GCSEs at grade A* - C (or Grade 4 or above) including Maths and English • a real passion building your career as a solicitor • great communication skills with a focus on providing excellent customer service • strong organisational and prioritisation skills; you’ll need to effectively manage your workload and your studies • a high level of attention to detail • the ability to learn new skills and approach new challenges • any previous legal work experience / self-development activities would be beneficial but this isn’t essential
