Photographic Technician at Richard Greenly in Hungerford (Yr 11-13) - Apply Now!

We are a family run photographic business based in Hungerford in Berkshire and operate all over the UK and in certain areas of the Far East and USA. The principal photographers are Richard and Tom Greenly.

We specialise in informal and natural portraiture of children and families in their own home or garden or in our studios in Hungerford. We also provide Wedding and event coverage nationally.

The position would suit a recent school/college leaver who maybe has a GCSE in Photography and/or an A level in another creative subject.

Job Description:

  • Communicate openly with internal departments and third-party suppliers to ensure that jobs are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

  • Operating a large format, Giclee printer and minilab daily and ensuring that all prints meet the company’s required standard.

  • Operating digital cameras and scanners daily.

  • Processing photography jobs daily.

  • Photographing various subject matter daily.

  • You will also be required to undertake other duties as the Company may reasonably require.

The Successful Applicant The ideal candidate for the Photographic Technician position will have the following:


  • Be a forward planner, with good time-management and organisational skills.

  • Be a highly motivated individual, who works well in a fast-paced environment with measurable targets.

  • Be a confident person who feels at ease communicating their requirements to internal staff and third-party suppliers.

  • Have a flexible outlook and be able to accommodate moving timelines and changes to projects, often at short notice.

  • Have excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Have an exceptional eye for detail.

  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude, be able to multi-task and prioritise well.

  • Contribute effectively as a team player.


  • Have an advanced understanding of Adobe suites and related software suites (especially Photoshop and Lightroom).

  • Have prior knowledge of colour profiles, colour management and retouching.

  • Summer job with potential for extension Part-time (approx. 24hrs/week)
