College Transition - Get prepared! (Yr 11, June & July dates)

In Year 11 and taking the college pathway? Fully prepared?

Our local Colleges have provided some transition support for you so you can be ready:

New College Swindon

  • KGA & New College Swindon Yr 11 Transition Evening: Thursday 10th June 6.30 – 7pm via Zoom

  • Yr 11 Welcome Days: Queens Drive Campus – 21st & 22nd June; North Star Campus – 2nd July

  • Physical campus tours are available and booking is essential for these tours:

  • Twilight College - This event will allow students to get a feel for what it might be like to study at college and to possibly try a new subject: Monday 28th June- North Star and Thursday 1st July- Queens Drive

  • (Information regarding booking will be confirmed closer to the time.)

  • ·Open Evening 29th June 5-9pm - a physical event. Booking is essential:

Wiltshire College

Bath College

  • Transitional activities will be published on their website for students. When these are ready we will also email you a copy.

  • Transition days will take place in the second half of June. Dates will be confirmed soon. They will be course specific and will be either physical or virtual (depending on the course).

  • You can book onto a campus tour of the City Centre and Somer Valley campuses via a letter that you will receive via your school email.

Hartpury College

  • Students should have received a ‘Coming to Hartpury Pack’ which includes transitional information and links.

  • Face to Face campus tours are available to book:

  • The Next Steps after Year 11 PDF Brochure (attached below) aims to help students at different points of their applications with their next steps and explain the process involved at each of the three colleges (Cirencester College, Hartpury College and South Gloucestershire & Stroud College (SGS)).
